Gear: Freshwater fishing, deep sea fishing, lure fishing, bait fishing and limited fly fishing.

Credit Card: Yes.

Description: Located at Bungsamran fishing pond, the 7 Seas Pro Shop is the creme de la creme of high-end fishing gear. It’s also the biggest tackle shop in the country. Don’t expect to save money here, everything sold is top of the line. Blue Rose jigging rods, Shimano Stella reels, limited edition Japanese lures, Owner hooks, Decoy lures, and many other top of the line things that will magically make the money in your wallet disappear. I’ve personally dropped over B40,000 baht there.

Of course, not everything in 7 Seas is going to do a number on your bank account. They do have the more basic stuff like floats, hooks and sinkers but don’t expect too many cheap Chinese-made products for sale here.

They also have an in-house custom rod workshop as well as a reel cleaning service.

Hi brother! Juz a question since im coming to BKK..I have visited this 7seas pro shop once but i was brought there by a fishing guide of mine..now im planning to get there alone, and so i was wondering whether,if i cud get there by a normal taxi. If i mention this place or Buungsamran Fishing park, will it be adequate enough for him to bring me there or do i need a map to show him?

It’s best to give him proper directions since not every taxi driver in Bangkok is a fisherman. Just tell him Nawamin soi 42 in the Bang Kapi area. BSR is at the end of the road.

If you need a map you can check out the page for Bungsamran where I’ve got the Google Maps pinned down.

Hi, I am trying to find 4lb braid line (some folk call super line) here in Thailand as BasPro does not export to Thailand. Ever thought of going sea fishing, I get some nice fish 1lb + on 4lb line and no weight. Cheers Roger

    • Bangkokhooker says:

Tough call man, Thais are quite stingy with their lures so the thought of using a small line is very hard to market here. The smallest I’ve found is 12lb braid of the Berkley Fireline Crystal they sell at some of the shops.

Good luck shopping, if you find what you’re looking for in Thailand please let the rest of us know.
