Hello again from Bangkokhooker’s Fishing in Thailand! Two blog posts in one day? Yay! It’s been a long, long time since I’ve fished with both Marcus (@MarcusburtBKK) and Alex (@AlexWest79). They were one of the original members of my little fishing community, there from the very beginning, before NatGeo, in the days when I was still just a Bangkokhooker in training. So to catch up we (Marcus, Alex, Kris and myself) decided to do a fishing trip, Mar and semi-camping trip at Srinakarin reservoir to do some good old-fashioned lure fishing.

Unfortunately when we got there the water levels were still extremely low despite it already being the rainy season. In fact, it has been a really strange rainy season. It’s already July but we’ve had only several heavy thunderstorms and most of the reservoirs I’ve checked up on are still very dry. Not to mention, winds were extremely strong and there was very little cloud cover while we were there. In other words, the fishing wasn’t that hot BUT to make up for it we decided to just eat and drink a shit ton and have a blast anyway while capturing the trip on video at the bottom of this post.

The following video* includes:

  • mature language
  • s’mores
  • mac and cheese
  • bacon and eggs
  • bad dancing
  • nature
  • a pretty caterpillar
  • a drone camera
  • knife throwing
  • puppy kisses
  • tiger dog (very end of the video)

*video is not available on mobile devices and may not be available in all countries because I used a copyrighted song
