6.8kg giant snakehead momma

I’ve been busy at work so haven’t had time to edit the videos so this one’s a little late. Also, during the fishing for this giant snakehead in the previous post I went solo so I didn’t have any one to film me resulting in a lack of shots. I hope you enjoy this short video.   🙂

Damn Oz…what a whopper! Great…no wait, SUPER catch man. Another personal record of sorts I assume?

Why didn’t you use your head cam? Imho, a full length video from the strike, to landing would have been EPIC!

Still a great video nonetheless, keep up the superb work on your posts and fishing trips!

Can’t wait to go back to BKK in Nov! Hope to catch up with you then.

    Cheers Oz.

Hey Kevin thanks for checking out the vid!

Yeah, the truth is I’ve discovered that the goPro and snakehead fishing don’t go hand-in-hand. Continuously casting for an hour for one fish with a camera mounted on your head can be quite tiring. Also, a continuous footage of one-hour takes up a lot of battery and memory so it’s quite hard trying to decide when to turn the camera on and when not to.

The GoPro works best for a controlled, short-term activity that is full of action. Hunting for giant snakehead mother can be really uneventful and you never really know when it will bite.

Anyway, looking forward to your return in November!

Oh well, I’ll keep working on my videos and improvin the quality as I go!
